# Hemut vs Datatruck: rates published through 30 trucks, or a free plan with paid add-ons

Datatruck lists a $0 plan, $99 and $299 plans through 19 trucks, a 7-day trial and paid add-ons for EDI and AI agents. Hemut has no free tier, publishes per-truck rates through 30 trucks and gives you 30 days with no card. Datatruck's list price is lower at most sizes it publishes, and the table shows where.

## Good at, and what to watch for

Hemut first, since it is our own product. Each entry says who it fits, what it costs, what it does well and what to check before you sign.

### Hemut Command

**Who it fits:** Asset-based trucking carriers. Hemut Command is a TMS built for asset-based trucking carriers; it is not built for pure freight brokerages.

**Price:** $99 a month includes 3 trucks, then $29 per truck for trucks 4 to 15 and $24 per truck for trucks 16 to 30, so a 10-truck fleet pays $302 a month on Command. Fleets over 30 trucks get a quote. Every plan is on the [pricing page](/pricing#pricing).

**Free trial:** 30 days with no load limit and no credit card to start. There is no free tier.

**Good at:** Taking the retyping out of the office. Rate confirmations (PDFs) and EDI 204 load tenders are read into loads, and AI voice agents make routine check calls to drivers and record the answers on the load. Driver settlements and invoices are built from that same load record, invoices sync with QuickBooks, and IFTA reports come from imported EFS fuel card transactions and the fleet's own miles. Truck positions from Samsara, Motive, Geotab or Omnitracs show ETAs and arrival times on each load. Factoring paperwork and maintenance records, which many carriers buy separately, are covered too.

**Watch for:** Hemut is newer than the legacy platforms, McLeod included, so it has fewer years of installs behind it. There is no free tier, and Hemut costs more than TruckingOffice at every fleet size TruckingOffice publishes a price for (see both on the [Hemut pricing page](/pricing#pricing) and the [TruckingOffice pricing page](https://www.truckingoffice.com/tms/transportation-management-system-pricing/)). Its EDI support reads 204 load tenders, so check any other EDI message your customers need before you switch. On list price, [Datatruck](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) comes in lower at most sizes it prices: $0 against $99 up to 3 trucks, $99 against $186 at 6, and $299 against $543 at 19. Command costs less only at 7 to 9 trucks ($215 to $273), before any Datatruck add-on.

### Datatruck

**Who it fits:** Carriers, brokers, hybrids, enterprise and private fleets, per its [home page](https://www.datatruck.io/). Its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) says it is built for fleet owners with more than 10 trucks.

**Price:** $0 Freemium (up to 3 trucks), $99 Basic (up to 6) and $299 Pro (up to 19) a month. Big Fleet (up to 30) and Enterprise (30+) show "Custom", per its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing).

**Free trial:** 7 days of full access with no credit card, then the account moves to Freemium unless you upgrade, per its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing).

**Good at:** A free plan and published prices through 19 trucks. Its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) ticks TruckGPT auto-entry for loads and a driver mobile app on every plan, and its [home page](https://www.datatruck.io/) says TruckGPT extracts rate confirmations. Its [integrations page](https://www.datatruck.io/integrations) lists 150+ integrations.

**Watch for:** Freemium stops at 3 active trucks, 30 factored invoices and 30 TruckGPT loads a month, and IFTA reports start at Basic. Check the add-ons on its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing): EDI is $499 and AI Updater, which it says removes check calls, is $99, each per "connection" with no billing interval stated. Its pricing page says 7 days and buttons on its [home page](https://www.datatruck.io/) say 14, so confirm the trial length.

## Who should pick which

Most fleets will recognize themselves in the first card. The second is the narrower case.

### Hemut fits

Asset carriers that want a rate they can read through 30 trucks, a 30 day trial and AI voice agents that make routine check calls, with EDI 204 tenders read into loads.

### Datatruck fits

A very small fleet that wants a $0 plan, a fleet that fits the $99 or $299 plan and does not need paid add-ons, or a broker or hybrid operation, which Datatruck also serves and Hemut Command is not built for as a pure brokerage.

## What Datatruck does well

Real strengths, so you can weigh them against what you need.

### A free plan and lower list prices

Its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) lists $0, $99 and $299 plans. Against Command's published rates that is lower at most sizes through 19 trucks, before add-ons.

### A long integration list

Its [integrations page](https://www.datatruck.io/integrations) lists 150+ integrations across ELDs, fuel, factoring, tolls and load boards, and says pre-built ones come at no extra cost.

### A driver app on every plan

Its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) ticks a driver mobile app on all five plans, including Freemium.

### A stated migration timeline

Its [data migration page](https://www.datatruck.io/data-migration) gives a 3 to 5 day average migration, quoted by application. That is its own figure, not ours.

## What you get on day one with Hemut

Each point is something Command does today or a published term, not a roadmap.

### A price you can read first

Every plan and per-truck rate is on the [pricing page](/pricing#pricing). A 10-truck fleet on Command is $302 a month, with the first 3 trucks included in the base.

### A card-free trial you start yourself

30 days with no load limit and no card to start, from the [signup page](https://command.hemut.com/signup).

### Rate cons become loads

Hemut reads rate confirmation PDFs into loads, so dispatchers review instead of retyping. It reads EDI 204 load tenders into loads too.

### Routine check calls, handled

AI voice agents make routine check calls to drivers and record the answers on the load. Voice agent use is $0.10 a minute of connected talk time.

### The back office is in the plans

Invoices, driver settlements, QuickBooks sync and IFTA reports are part of Command. Factoring paperwork and maintenance records are covered too, and many carriers buy those separately.

### ETAs from the trucks you already run

Hemut reads truck position from Samsara, Motive, Geotab and Omnitracs to show ETAs and arrival times on loads.

## What to weigh on the Hemut side

Two things a careful buyer should know.

- Hemut is a newer company than the legacy platforms so it has fewer years of installs behind it.
- There is no free tier. There is a 30 day trial with no card, so you can test it on your own loads before paying.

## What Command covers

One system for the office, from the first load to the invoice and the driver settlement.

## Moving from Datatruck: what Hemut does and what to ask Datatruck

What follows is Hemut's side of the move. Datatruck does not publish what its data export contains or how long an exit takes on the pages we reviewed, so ask them for that in writing.

1. **01.**

    ### Self-serve fleets: sign up and start

Sign up at hemut.com with no card. The 30 day trial has no load limit, so you can run real loads before you decide.

2. **02.**

    ### Connect what you already run

Hemut reads truck position from Samsara, Motive, Geotab and Omnitracs, imports EFS fuel card transactions and syncs with QuickBooks.

3. **03.**

    ### First loads

Rate confirmation PDFs and EDI 204 load tenders become loads, so the office reviews instead of retyping.

4. **04.**

    ### Fleets of 31 trucks or more: pricing is scoped to you

Enterprise includes pricing scoped to your operation, edi connections, data migration from your current system. We do not publish a fixed timeline for these moves.

## What Hemut costs

Command starts at $99 a month with 3 trucks included, and every rate is on the [pricing page](/pricing#pricing). See what it saves your fleet with the [ROI calculator](/roi-calculator).

## Questions

What is the difference between Hemut and Datatruck pricing?

As of November 2026 Datatruck's [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) lists plans at $0, $99 and $299 a month by fleet size, with custom pricing above 19 trucks and add-ons on top. Hemut charges per truck: Command is $99 a month with 3 trucks included and $302 for 10 trucks, and every rate through 30 trucks is on hemut.com/pricing.

Does Datatruck have a free trial?

Yes. Its [pricing page](https://www.datatruck.io/pricing) lists a 7-day trial with no credit card, then Freemium. Buttons on its [home page](https://www.datatruck.io/) say 14 days, so confirm the length when you sign up. Hemut gives 30 days with no load limit and no card, and has no free tier.

How hard is it to switch from Datatruck to Hemut?

A self-serve fleet signs up itself with no card, connects its ELD and QuickBooks, and runs real loads through the 30 day trial before deciding. Anything held only in Datatruck needs an export from Datatruck. For fleets of 31 trucks or more, pricing is scoped to the operation and includes data migration; there is no fixed published timeline.

Is Hemut affiliated with Datatruck?

No. Datatruck is a separate company with its own TMS. Hemut makes Command, and wrote this page from Datatruck's public pages.
