Motive TMS integration with Hemut CommandMotive TMS integration with Hemut Command

With a Motive TMS integration, the truck positions Motive already collects show up on your loads instead of living in a separate app. Hemut Command, a TMS built for asset-based trucking carriers, reads truck position from Motive and turns it into ETAs and arrival times on each load.

Motive describes its platform as "AI that makes your operations safer and more efficient" (gomotive.com, read November 3, 2026). That safety side is why this page has a section the Samsara and Geotab pages do not.

From a Motive position to a load ETA

Without the link, a dispatcher phones the driver for a location Motive already has. Command takes that location instead. Its tracking view puts each truck on the map against the load it is running, gives the next stop an ETA and shows the arrival time when the truck pulls in.

Connecting the Motive TMS integration in Command

  1. Sign in as an admin. The Add ELD button only appears for admins.
  2. Go to Settings, then Integrations, find ELD and telematics, and choose Add ELD.
  3. Select Motive in the link flow that opens and complete it.
  4. Return to Command. The Motive row reads Starting up until its vehicles and drivers come through, normally within a few minutes.

Motive driver scores and fault codes in Command

Accounts that also have a direct Motive connection see two more things. The driver safety table adds a Provider score (Motive) column carrying the score from Motive's own safety program, left blank for other ELD brands. Fault codes on a tractor can show Motive as their source, so whoever books the shop visit knows where the code came from.

Ask us whether your account has the direct connection before you plan around either one.

Who can sync, disconnect and reconnect Motive

Anyone on the account can press Sync now on the Motive row to pull fresh data. Disconnect and Reconnect are admin actions. A disconnect first lists the tractors, trailers and drivers that would lose live position, hours of service and ELD ids, and says tracking stops pulling from Motive within a few minutes. Unit numbers and driver records are kept.

Motive plus a second ELD

A carrier can link several ELDs, so Motive trucks and trucks on another system share one list in Command, each row named for its own vendor.

Price

Command includes live tracking at $99 a month, with the first 3 trucks covered. The free trial runs 30 days and needs no card, so you can watch your Motive trucks on real loads before paying. Full rates: pricing.
